| Pressure cars are designed for the transport of flammable, non-flammable, toxic and/or liquefied compressed gases. They are distinctly different in that they have all valves and fittings inside a top mounted protective housing of thick steel. They have no bottom outlets or fittings. These tank cars are rated for pressures ranging from 100 psi to 600 psi. Common pressure tank car designations are DOT 105 and DOT 112. |
